FEATURED PRODUCTS

DISTO  : a complete Distortion simulation.. from the power amp to the feedback mic.

I've seek the net looking for a good plug-in that will do a really natural distortion with no luck.
This is why I've decided to create a Distortion device, that will,  I hope fill the niche.
This Distortion simulator simulate the guitar amp using a special tuned VTube version, plus it proposes 3 different ways to create distortions.  Also Disto simulate a really realistic feedback and gives you a lot of different ways to change the sounds.

Here are the Disto specs :

- fully simulate a 20 Watts power amplifier, using the VTube(tm) technology.
- uses 4 different distortion algorithms : Fuzz, Symmetrical and Asymmetrical and Waveshaper.
- overdrive, compress, limit the sound..
- fully simulate the distortion feedback including the feedback time, tone, and shape.
- graphical filter to change the distortion color
- Low pass filter button to even more control the tone and limit the treble noises.
- gain, and mix between all the 6 different sound sources giving you a wide range of different distortion styles.
- 50 hi-quality presets of all uses.
- auto-clip to remove the dirty noise and have a clear and clean sound when you don't play.
- saves you hours of setup and gives you an easy access to all the parameters from a single and self explaining interface.
- from fat and rich  to bright and metallic this device covers all the distortion needs
- truly stereo.
- uses only 1 DSP!

User Manual

This tool is not easy to setup just because playing with feedbacks in any device is a very difficult task. Let me explain you why. Too much feedback you produce NO sound! That because the feedback covers the sound itself and finally send a maximum frequency all the time. That means : silence. When you will use the DISTO you will certainly have this problem. In that case you must stop the Feedback : turn off the FB Time and see the vue-meter at the left. If it is at 0 it is OK if not, that means you have a feedback overload.

Section Effect Mixer : this section deals with the main mixers and some Vtube buttons.

FUZZ : this button mix the Fuzz effect with the others.

CLIP 1 is the Symmetrical Clipping algo volume.

CLIP 2 is the Asymmetrical algo volume.

VTube tone will change the VTube from dark to bright (left to right)

Gain : this button will add some gain to the Vtube in order to make it more noticeable.

Global Mixer : this is the mix between the different main signals : Vtube, Raw sound and Distorted sound.

DISTO set the amount of Distorted signal in the final result.

Vtube : set the amount of Vtube signal in the resulting sound.

Dry is the amount of Raw sound.

Out : is the General Gain button, it may add 24db to the sound, if there is not too much feedback (again too much feedback kills the sound and the Gain button does not work with a sound with too much feedback.

Crunch : the Limiter

The attack button : has the same meaning as in a Synth ADSR. More you add attack more you distortion effect will be progressive.

Limit : this button tune the Threshold and the Ratio of the Limiter : basically, if you turn the button on the left, you will have NO sound. On the Right the limiter is Off.

Distortion : the brainstorming!

The Fuzz button will change the fuzz density. More of less. The result change both the level of distortion and the distortion aggressively. The Fuzz algo is a really trong distortion.

Fb Time : this button tune the delay of feedback. More delay, more feedback. If you add too much feedback you will have as explained before a saturation overload, and no more sound.

Clip A is the Asymmetrical Clipping algo density. You can add more or less distortion with this button. The Clip 1 algo is very smooth so do not hesitate to turn off any0 Fuzz effect to tune it otherwise you will be able to heard it!

FB Tone : this button change the Feedback Tone in conjunction with Blue Slider. By using the both you can have a low feedback or a very high one.

Clip 1 & Clip 2 button are dealing with the Symmetrical distortion algo. It defines the Upper and Lower boundaries of the distortion. Like a window this distortion algo will leave only what is inside these two boundaries.

Shaper button set the WaveSHaper amount. The Waveshaper algo as been added in order to make the DISTO smoother than before. The Waveshaper adds a lot of harmonics to the signal. it is very useful to simulate a Queen guitar (smooth and dark) for example.

Filters : Easy

As usually you have a graphical Filter. You can add as much as 6 plots by double-clicking on the filter window. Then you can change the Gain of each one and the Q. The Q is controlled by clicking on a plot with the Right button !

I've also added a Low pass filter to cut the highest frequencies. It was done upon request of one French great  guitarist customers.

VTube Saturation

Vtube add warm to the signal. the Tube simulated is a 24 watts (max) amplifier. More saturation = more warm! Again, Vtube does not simulate an amplifier, it does only adds the warm of the vacuum tubes. So it does not ads gain to the sound, only a warm distortion.
