The Midi Toolbox is an "All in One" tool. It is a merger, splitter, changer, monitor, clock and more. Also because it takes almost nothing on your DSP card, and is very light in memory, it is the perfect tool for every Creamware user, whatever DSP power you have!

Merger : we all know this feature, you have 16 channels possible as source, that will be merged in on channel. The in1...in16 are used for, and the Mout (master Out) will output the mixed result.

 

Splitter : it is the merger counterpart. If you enter a signal in the 'Midi' in at the top of the device, all the different channels will be output in their respective outputs (out1-out16)

 

Changer : if you send a bunch of midi values played on different channels and you want all to be sent to the same channel, you can selec which channel with the Change button. For example, if you have a Drum midi file that uses several channels to play each drum, and you want all to be sent to the Channel 10 of your GM compatible drumbox, this is exactly what you need. Also I use it to win time, when I need to play drums from my main keyboard that is configured to play on the chan 1. I just move the Change To button to 10 and all what I play is send to the Drum channel on my expander.

Clock : the device can display the currents clock values received thru the Midi In.But you can also set the Internal clock and send a new midi clock value internaly generated.

Monitor : this monitor works like the real midi monitor, but it displays also the real midi data in hexadecimal values. It is very useful for debugging for example. You can 2 button to filter and lower the number of messages displayed. Tha active sensing filter will or will not display active sensing, the real time message will keep only the notes.
