(1)

Last Update : 30-08-2001
VerbOne EX  v2.1 presets have been reworked to remove the weird delay between the left and right channels. This delay was easy to fix just by moving the PreDel Button.

Warning : all our products needs the DSPLIB to be installed : please download it here and follow the installation instructions.

What is the Verb One EX?
Ex means extended, This reverb has been released to give an answer to the professionals who wanted to have a low DSP & PCI resource reverb to use in complex setups, but still sounding very professional. This reverbs is not designed for research, but for rapid use, with its +60 presets, you can make your sound in just a minute and you don't have to loose your time in tuning.

Verb One EX Key Features:
- LPF button : this button enable or disable the simplified  DHF (DSPDEV Hyper Filters). This is a special set of filters specially designed to give to the reverb its personality.
- Space : this button controls the stereo image. As you know, like most reverberator, the verb One EX works internally in mono. This button spread the processed signal to simulate a stereo effect.
-Insert / Direct magic button. This button is very useful. If you connect the effect in direct (for a live performance for example or to apply the effect on a mix, you will need to have both the Dry and Rev signals. But if you use the reverb as an Aux effect, the mixing console will do the job. This button will cut the Dry signal and double the Rev signal in order to give you the best dynamic results, without having to loose your time.
- The reverberation color now has a multi filtering with Q. to change the Q of each dot, just use the right button
instead of the left button of your mouse.
- Can create smooth textures, with echo style rooms.
About its personality:
The Verb One Ext has its own personality. The Smooth presets are damping the high frequencies, and in general its sounds very clear and clean. The presets Bright Large Echo demonstrate its unique ability to create echo rooms. Only the Verb Gold can do something similar.

What is the difference with the Verb PRO?

The Verb ONE has been released to demonstrate the technology used in the Verb PRO, and to contribute to help the musicians who are looking for a light-weight low cost reverb to enhance their personal productions in-expensively. Here is a list of the features included in the Verb ONE.

What you will get:

  • Stereo enhancer to create a wide stereo effect from a mono source.
  • ROOM/PLATE/LARGE/CATHEDRAL/GARAGE/METAL/VINTAGE etc more than 60 type of reverbs.
  • You can change the Reverberation time, the Damping, the pre-delay and the reverb color from the front panel.
  • a 4 point parametric graphical equalization with Q to change the reverb color.
  • 32-bit internal calculation power
  • uses 2 SHARC DSP.
  • Low PCI usage technology. this reverb uses less PCI transfer while having a similar quality.

Installation :
Just copy the .mdl file in your Devices directory (c:\pulsar\devices) and drag & drop it in your project. Connect the "2 IN" in the "Aux Out" and the "2 Out" int the "Aux Return". It works like any effects.

More technical specifications:

This reverb uses 1 SHARC. It uses minimal PCI resources, however you may still experience PCI overflow errors, if you try to load 4-5 or more of them at the same time. That's a known problem with the Creamware platform. You can load 5 Verb ONE at the same time in a regular project.
